cleaning

so i went on a cleaning rampage today....and now my little house smells so good. i think when i am anxious, in the words of a good friend, i clean....with bleach. i scanned all week for the book which was not fun. hope to have new work up soon. peace out everyone!

The last three months have been awesome, because i got to work on the coolest book ever, and now it is coming to an end. im so sad. all thats left is the cover. i made some final touch ups through out the book this past week and now i am brainstorming about whats going to go on the cover. ive been researching and looking at caldecott recipients and all of their covers seem to be simple, bold, and to the point, without giving too much of the story away. so i guess thats what ill try to do. ::shrugs::: 

anyways on a more personal note: i cant believe christmas, new years, and my bff's bday is over...and did anyone notice how valentines decorations went on sale like december 26th? yeah. 

so for my friends birthday we went to the hilton seafood and prime rib buffet near universal city walk...and it was awesome. we usually go every year. but this year was extra special because i finally managed to swallow an oyster on the half shell.....i feel bad because she loves them...and dont get me wrong because i love sea food and trying new crap.....but i guess its just one of those textural things???? it was like swallowing a big gob of whale snot? why do people get such a kick out of eating those anyway? another thing on the list that, according to me, women wrote, to get men to eat weird shit....."oh eat it! its an aphrodisiac!" yeah right.

 

I've been a bad, bad girl

So i'm trying to get better at the blogging thing. I was inspired to start posting more thanks to my first scbwi meeting on saturday. Hope everyone is having a nice day. here is some stuff ive been working on for Santa and the Molokai Mules. These are works in progress and excuse the quality, they are photos not scans.

Moving.

So I know a lot of people have been hearing me talk about moving....for like the last...i dont know, 4 months? haha. well i finally am. The house is done (still waiting on 3 day blinds...more like 1 week blinds....3 days my ass.). so ill probably be moving my bed in this weekend. so yeah, thats that. and here is some work from the last month or so.

Ok, so now I'm on here. Dwight has been bugging me to get on this thing because i havent updated anything since i guess october. wow. so what has happened since october? 

ummm i lost 5 lbs....haha.....got my bachelors of fine arts degree from the prestigious california state university of long beach, went to kauai, and now i am working on my second children's book. i think more has happened since october but those are the main things that have happened....all of 

which happened within the last month. wow. that a lot of happenings. well im out...heres some pictures to keep people happy....cause i guess thats what we do on here....love you all....peace out
